Errors when trying to run Rebel Poker

Quite a number of people have complained about getting the following message when trying to run Rebel Poker.

This problem occurs because an important system file has become damaged or is missing.

Rebel Poker now defaults to testing for this file and replacing it if it is damaged. So you may not have seen the error itself, but other errors may have occured.

This may be caused by a virus but my concern is that this problem may also be a deliberate attempt by someone to damage your computer in an effort to prevent software such as Rebel Poker from working.

What can you do?

If your computer is still faulty...

You need to go to Microsofts website and read the Full instructions on how to repair it.

You may have a legitimate Virus in which case I recommend updating and running your virus scanner. I strongly suggest also installing the following programs to assist in keeping your machine free of problems, I use all of these myself.

Of the last two I prefer Spybot, but I use both so that if one misses hopefully the other will catch it (happens all the time).

The problem can tend to re-occur each time you start your computer. so after fixing the problem restart your computer and see if it is back.
